Edoardo Levy-Yeyati at the ITFD Master

On Monday and Tuesday, Edoardo Levy-Yeyati, currently Head, Emerging Markets Strategy at Barclays Capital, lectured on the origins and future of the current financial crisis -- from global imbalances to regulatory problems in subprime, the different phases of the crisis so far, and the policy response including the debate about just how efficient fiscal stimuli are. The syllabus is here. The whole idea of having leading economists with policy experience teach classes for us is a bit of an experiment, but judging from the fact that I got several student emails telling me how much they enjoyed the class, I think it's a experiment that is already working pretty well.
